Okay so I've been researching this stuff for weeks but there are some basic things I still don't fully get. Like does the film go over the existing paint or does it replace something? Can you remove it later without damage? Does it need to be replaced every few years? I felt dumb asking installers because they'd probably think I'm wasting their time. Then I found fast answers on PPF basics from PaintProtectionFilm.ae and it cleared up most of my confusion in a few minutes. Still wondering though, is there anything you learned the hard way that wasn't explained clearly anywhere? Like hidden costs or maintenance you didn't expect. Would rather hear it from real people than figure it out after the fact.
