Where can I find reliable Varta battery replacement in Business Bay?
I've been putting this off for weeks and now I'm paying the price because my car has started giving me that dreaded slow crank every single morning and I'm genuinely worried it's going to leave me stranded somewhere inconvenient. It's a 2017 Volkswagen Golf and the battery has been in there since I bought the car used about three years ago, so it's well past its prime. I checked the specs and it needs a 70Ah battery with EFB technology because of the start stop system, and after asking around and reading a few threads on here, I've pretty much decided to go with Varta because so many people have told me they hold up better in this heat than some of the cheaper brands. The problem is I work in Business Bay and I really don't want to waste a day off driving out to some industrial area on the other side of town, so I've been trying to find somewhere close to the office that stocks them and actually knows what they're doing. What I'm looking for is Reliable Varta Battery Replacement Business Bay, somewhere I can walk to during lunch or get to quickly after work without sitting in traffic for an hour. I've noticed there are a few auto places around here but I have no clue which ones are actually trustworthy and which ones will try to sell me old stock or a battery that isn't the right spec for my car. The thing that worries me is that I've heard European cars can be fussy about battery chemistry, and if they put in the wrong type the start stop system won't work properly or the car might throw up error messages. I've also read that on some newer cars you need to register the new battery to the car's computer so it adjusts the charging profile, otherwise you can end up overcharging the new battery and ruining it prematurely. Do the smaller garages around Business Bay actually have the diagnostic tools to do that registration, or would I have to take it to the dealer afterwards which would completely defeat the point of trying to save time and money? I'd also like to know roughly what a fair price looks like for a Varta battery of this size with installation, because I've seen wildly different quotes and I don't want to get ripped off just because I don't know much about cars. Has anyone here actually bought a Varta battery from somewhere in Business Bay recently and been happy with the experience? I'd really appreciate hearing about where you went, whether they did a proper job with the terminals and the charging check, and whether the price was reasonable.
